  2. 150 grams of sugar (3/4 cup)

  7. 1.5 teaspoon baking powder

  8. Chocolate spread

1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.

2. Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites and sugar on medium speed for about 2 minutes. Reduce the mixer speed and add the yolks.

4. Add the flour and baking powder and mix on low speed until well mixed.

5. Transfer half of the mixture to a greased English muffin tin and sprinkle 2-3 pieces of chocolate on top, then pour the other half of the mixture.

6. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center and moist crumbs come out.

decorate the cake:

You can freeze the cake. You can leave out the chocolate spread. You can mix 1/3 of the batter with 1 Tablespoons chocolate drink mix powder and turn it into a marble cake

For a non-dairy version:

replace the sour cream with ½ cup of orange juice. You can use the same amount of self-raising flour, just leave the baking powder. If you do not have vanilla extract, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar. You can also use an 18cm diameter round cake pan instead of the English cake pan.
